Crowdcube wanted to create a platform that generated millions for startup businesses
Crowdcube were looking to move their funding platform onto mobile devices in the form of a cross platform mobile app. This would allow potential investors to invest in startups, early stage and growth businesses while on the go. Their design team wanted to make sure that they were designing a mobile experience that went above and beyond investors needs and expectations.
We reviewed the designs and produced a workable prototype for Android and iOS devices. The prototype, code named “Aero”, was used to Beta test the app with investors and potential clients at the Crowdcube HQ office in London.
During the test workshops, we gave a use case to each candidate to follow on the app. We had set-up video cameras, user stories and took as many notes as we could to gather as much feedback as possible.
After we had collected the feedback and presented it to the Crowdcube team, we worked with them to make the recommended changes before they moved forward with development using their internal team.
The process gave Crowdcube the confidence to get the app fully developed and launched into the market knowing that they were building a system that their users wanted to use. In less than 12 months after launch the iOS version of the app processed over £5 million worth of investment.
