The Problem: Design Constraints Hindering Confidence
The initial iteration of the Pragma Holis report, while technically robust as a minimum viable product (MVP), featured a design that was simplified due to time and technical constraints. Although the underlying data and the process of generating the report were sound, the visual presentation didn't instil the necessary confidence in its validity. This lack of polish was identified as a potential barrier to onboarding new organisations that would be relying on the insights to inform their strategic decisions.
Our Process: Building a Foundation of Trust and Clarity
To elevate the Pragma Holis report from a functional MVP to a professional and confidence-inspiring tool, our team focused on a user-centric design process:
- Initial Audit & Accessibility Focus: We began with a thorough review of the existing report, paying close attention to accessibility standards. This involved identifying areas where colour contrast could be enhanced and ensuring overall readability for all users.
- New Visual Design Language: To build strong brand recognition, we crafted a new visual design language. This included the development of a distinct colour palette that reflects the Pragma Holis brand and the creation of unique icons representing each of their strategic "pillars," providing a clear visual structure to the information.
- Pragma Pulse 360 & Platform Empowerment: This revitalised design language was then applied to the "Pragma Pulse 360" report, delivered through the Pragma Holis platform. This report empowers businesses to pinpoint internal areas for improvement and track their journey towards excellence, visualised through an intuitive polar graph showcasing their aspirational targets.

The Solution: A Report Designed for Impact
The core of our solution was the creation of a professionally designed digital report, the "Pragma Pulse 360," accessible seamlessly across devices:
- Visually Compelling Design: We implemented the new visual design language, ensuring a clean, modern aesthetic that enhances readability and builds trust in the information presented.
- Cross-Platform Accessibility: The report is designed to be viewed beautifully on both mobile and desktop devices, ensuring accessibility for all users, regardless of their preferred device.
- Effortless Sharing: Recognising the importance of collaboration, the report can be easily downloaded as a PDF, making it simple to share insights with leadership teams via email or present findings in board meetings.

Outcomes: Setting the Stage for Growth
The enhancements to the Pragma Holis report have yielded significant positive results:
- Widespread Design Adoption: The new visual design language resonated strongly with the Pragma Holis team and has been utilised across their brand presence. This consistent application now extends to their website, print materials, and presentations, creating a cohesive and professional brand identity.
- Impactful Programme Integration: The newly designed Pragma Pulse report has become a valuable tool for the Tech South West Growth Forge programme. Over 50 participating businesses now use it quarterly to benchmark their progress, directly supporting them in launching new services and products with a clearer understanding of their strengths and areas for development.
