What we did
Master puppeteer, presenter and performer Richard Cadell sought a redesign of The Sooty Show website to commemorate the 70th anniversary.
Initially looking to gear the website towards children, we discovered that many parents would go to the web for information. With that in mind we targeted the website towards the community of parents who grew up with Sooty, creating a page which commemorated Sooty milestones throughout the years.
In keeping with the show, we delivered a fun experience that also created a resource for parents: signposting to episodes on YouTube and providing activities to keep kids busy. Importantly, an events section spotlights the live Sooty shows which take part around the country.
Site users grew from 300 a week to regularly hitting over 1000
Weekly traffic from search increased from an average of 50 users per week to over 600
Over 1000 clicks a month to book Sooty Live shows
